Painting portraits is something I really love. Since I paint with the model present in my studio, the portraiture is always a kind of dialogue.

Some of my portraits are commissions, others are initiated by me for various projects and expressions I want to explore.

When it comes to a commissioned portrait  we choose a pose and setting together. We usually get to know each other well, as we can talk during the painting sessions. According to the size and style of the painting, there are between one and ten sittings for a portrait.
