Franceschi Cornici is a workshop I’ve wanted to visit since I started coveting my painter friends’ gilded Florentine frames. And after several attempts to discover what the opening hours were (a well kept secret) I managed to meet the charming and dedicated framers, father and son Franceschi. How many frames do you think I got? And I’m sure you can guess which of the close-ups is the “bocca di pipistrello” design. Bat’s mouth!
